Magnetic Properties of Sintered SmCo Magnets
SmCo5 is known as the first generation of rare earth permanent magnet materials, its magnetic crystal anisotropic is very high, usually used in nuclear magnetic resonance, automotive parts, sensors, high-precision components, motors and other fields, the maximum magnetic energy product range of each grade between 16-25MGOe, the maximum operating temperature of 250℃. The maximum magnetic energy product is lower than the 2:17 SmCo , but the mechanical properties and ductility are slightly better than the 2:17 samarium cobalt, and it is suitable for processing into the shape specifications that the 2:17 samarium cobalt is not easy to process, such as the thickness or the wall is particularly thin, the circle, the ring and the shape of various complex shapes.
The magnetizing field of 1:5 smco magnet is smaller than that of 2:17 SmCo magnet, and generally 40,000 gauss magnetic field can be magnetized saturation, while the magnetizing field of 2:17 high coercivity samarium-cobalt magnet requires 60,000 Gauss or higher.
