A high-end audio equipment manufacturer is developing a professional-grade speaker system designed to provide the ultimate audio quality for professional fields such as music production and performance. For the permanent magnet components in this speaker system, the customer has the following key requirements: the magnetic field strength must remain highly stable to ensure the accuracy and consistency of the sound; the permanent magnet components cannot experience performance degradation or damage after stable operation for more than 12 hours.
2. Solution customization
Based on the customer’s strict requirements, we chose samarium cobalt permanent magnet material. Samarium cobalt permanent magnets have high magnetic energy product and Curie temperature, and can maintain stable magnetic properties over a wide temperature range. Its unique crystal structure and chemical composition give it excellent anti-demagnetization ability, which is very suitable for high-end audio equipment, which requires extremely high magnetic field stability.
According to the structure and acoustic design of the speaker, we optimized the shape and size of the permanent magnet component. Through computer simulation and acoustic model analysis, the optimal permanent magnet geometry was determined to ensure a uniform and strong magnetic field around the speaker diaphragm. At the same time, a special heat dissipation structure is designed, which is combined with the permanent magnet component to effectively reduce the temperature rise during the working process and further ensure the stability of the magnetic field.
3. Production
Raw materials: Each batch of samarium cobalt raw materials is strictly inspected for quality. Including chemical composition analysis, particle size distribution test, magnetic performance test, etc. Only raw materials that meet high standards in all indicators will be used for production, ensuring the quality of permanent magnet components from the source.
Production process: A complete quality monitoring system has been established throughout the production process. Professional quality inspection personnel and advanced testing equipment are equipped in each key link such as powder metallurgy, processing, and assembly. For example, during the sintering process, temperature and pressure changes are monitored in real time; during the processing, the dimensions of the permanent magnet are online tested using a three-coordinate measuring instrument;
4. Quality control
The assembled permanent magnet components need to undergo comprehensive finished product testing. The permanent magnet components are tested for magnetic properties such as magnetic field strength, uniformity, and anti-demagnetization ability to ensure that they can meet the design requirements within the specified temperature range and external interference conditions. Products that pass all the test items will be delivered to customers.
